    I love Dwarf Fortress. I have probably put multiple hundreds of hours into the game. I am beyond hyped for the upcoming update.

    However!
    There are some things that are so frustrating they sometimes break the experience altogether

    - Trading Depots just sometimes break for no reason at all and its beyond frustrating, not only that but the traders will sometimes just get stuck and itll jam the whole trading cycle. And dont even get me started on the outpost liaison

    - The dwarf military is obnoxiously hard to maneuver, especially archers, they barely ever pick up and keep equipment on efficiently unless you go in and assign individual pieces to every single slot for every single dwarf leading to 1/3 of your army being half nude with huge stocks of armor left for them. And then once you put them into a place to guard they just charge enemies instead of holding your ground. Even archers will do this as soon as they run out of arrows in the tower theyll just run outside and get instantly killed.

    - Beasts will spawn in the caverns and just sit in one location and be a looming but dormant threat for literal years

    - Dwarves will literally just not talk to eachother, and will remain depressed... oh and despite having the most lavish fortress in the entire world, someone will see ONE BODY and go insane, so much for dwarven stoicism

    - The missions, the MISSIONS. Not only is there barely any functionality (once you capture a place that one had your dwarves as prisoners, say goodbye to those dwarves forever, oh and that old fort you had that crumbled, yea its full of demons and treasures, and stuff but your dwarf brought back nothing at all, and the 15 holdings you have, yup you get literally NOTHING from any of them), but the little functionality that it does have is pretty much broken, send out a squad to rescue prisoners and they just come RIGHT BACK, or a 3 day travel mission will take a literal year, or youll pillage a fortress that you KNOW has prisoners and your dwarves will bring back a single NUT... oh and oops you sent someone to rescue a prisoner from a place, and then you conquered it? WELL NOW YOURE AT WAR WITH YOU ENTIRE OWN CIV AND CAN NO LONGER TRADE

    With all the focus on new an exciting features, it doesnt seem like Toady is going to fix any of this, but a lot of it feels downright broken and really needs to be touched up
