Theoretical Dwarf Fortress PC Build Posted: 19 Jan 2021 11:17 AM PST I've been debating about building a separate pc strictly for running Dwarf Fortress. I dont know much about computer specs. Looking to build something for around $200 that basically only runs LNP, any suggestions on what to include? Is a graphics card even necessary? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Jan 2021 08:59 PM PST Hello, I remember from one of Tarn talks that DF used two (or more) "simulation steps". Basically some updates of the simulation were updated in "real time" (when you are playing in a fortress and you let time advance) but there were more "updates" that advance time in weeks, months or even years for when the system generated the story events and history of the world. I'm interested in how these different levels of simulation (or different levels of updates) actually interact with each other. If anybody have at hand any talk where Adam talk about this please share it here. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
