Posted: 29 Aug 2020 01:21 AM PDT Hi, First of all, sorry mods for the previous post. Many of you may know that, if you flood an underground pasture, the cave moss will become Dead cave moss. Dead cave moss cannot be eaten by animals and does not spread. The most common solution is to smooth the floor and irrigate again. However, after some !!SCIENCE!! I discovered that in the current version ( 0.47.04 ) much less effort is needed. One simply has to designate a farm plot over the area, wait for one day to pass and then remove the designation. Posted: 29 Aug 2020 11:03 AM PDT Running latest version of Meph. Game loads but screen is black in full screen mode only. I see the initial loading, but DF Hack pops up (pulls me out of full screen) then black screen when I switch back. Still music playing, and i can exit the game by pushing down 4 times and hitting enter (quit). Messed around with DPI settings and all Print Mode settings in the Meph launcher. I do have a high end system with updated drivers. 2080Ti 9900k NVME drive Any thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||

I have a simple and effective way to make a suspended economic system work. Posted: 28 Aug 2020 07:52 PM PDT There are five reasons why this economic system has failed. i.Beds are too expensive for many dwarves. ii.Many dwarves cannot afford to buy food iii.Dwarves have difficulty handling coins iv.No income for the unemployed v.No income for children of legendary figures It is well known that bed rent and food prices have a multiplier, and again, these services and goods are purchased from the player, and thus the problem could be solved by allowing the player to set these multipliers (and even set the rent for each kind of item or each room).Just set (some of) the food and bed rents to zero, and no dwarves will be evicted. As for coins, if the AI can't be redesigned to solve the problem, why not allow dwarves to have pockets that store large amounts of coins, as well as a mechanism for depositing currency that exceeds the pocket limit into a "bank" where payments can be made. In addition, we could set up welfare scheme for the unemployed, as well as create kinds of 'works' between dwarves, such as servants, prostitution, food delivery (Ubereats), theft, fraud, robbery, etc. But the simplest solution is the unemployment benefit or basic income scheme. The problem with legendary characters is that they are fully 'communist', but their children are not.The simple solution is to remove the special treatment for legendary characters, and if it is set to be optional, then children should be included as well.
