Posted: 02 Apr 2020 06:25 AM PDT In your opinion, what would be the best conditions possible hardware wise to getting optimal FPS? I know that a graphics card isn't really necessary but do you think Quad channel RAM and the newest intel would be sufficient? Let's discuss [link] [comments]

I don't know how to deal with stress Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:40 AM PDT Title. So far, my glacier fortress has been peaceful. A few yeti and polar bear man beatdowns, but nothing special. No sieges, no dead bodies strewn about, plenty of food and drink, and despite the scarcity of wood everybody has a bedroom. No rain, it only snows once a year, and my dining room has been described as "legendary". But my herbalist is now running through the halls, naked and babbling. "overthrown by the stresses of day-to-day living". I don't understand what I did wrong, but apparently a cushy life of growing plants and brewing mushroom wine was too much for this poor soul, and I'm now watching to make sure he doesn't rush down to the emergency well and drown himself in it. I remember people talking about how broken the stress system was a few months ago - is this still the case? [link] [comments]

College of Dwarfology - Chapter 7 (Adamantine and Straw Safety) Posted: 01 Apr 2020 01:01 PM PDT In this chapter we covered the mechanics of Dwarven engraving, and how our artists are our number 1 safety inspectors. This chapter can be found at: and the main Dwarfology thread can be found at: https://www.reddit.com/r/dwarffortress/comments/ely84n/college_of_dwarfology/ stop by and drop a few topics you'd like me to cover. You can usually expect me around the bi-weekly Q and A threads, if you prefer a more lithographic answer, though current events have made this a bit inconsistent. Best of well wishes to everyone and their families. [link] [comments]
