- A very angry sponge.
- I really want to know the thought process of the explorer who named this continent
- That feeling, when you get a dwarf necromancer in your first migrant wave. His tower is abandoned and REALLY close to my fort. I have been stealing his artifact books for 3 months. All his books are dwarf-themed.
- you see a new thing in this game every day
- BF - The battle begins
- This is what the ''Baby riding their mum until she dies of dehydration'' looks like.
- (lite) Lazy Mac Pack updated for DF v0.47.02
- Running into random DF in the world
- Excess of Legendary Immigrants
- Oh joy, can’t wait till being rained on causes a dwarf to lose his passion for justice resulting in his wife leaving him, making him depressed until he eventually goes berserk and tantrum spirals the whole fort
- I may have overdone it... but at least enough to explore.
- Anyone else seen something like this
- Issues with starting Dwarf Fortress using the LNP
- Starting a adventure as a outsider with dragons goes wrong
- Can anyone recommend any DF clone
- My necromancers were so bored by the combat training, they fell asleep.
- libstdc++.so.6 `CXXABI_1.3.8' not found
Posted: 08 Feb 2020 03:45 AM PST Hey folks! I've been made aware that while there are reports in the community of 0.47.02 crashing during world generation, there haven't been any world generation seeds submitted in the 0.47.02 release thread, which makes the bugs behind these crashes very difficult to track down! If you happen to have experienced a crash during world generation in 0.47.02 specifically, please report it in the 0.47.02 release thread! You can find the seed in It will look like:
for "Create New World" basic world generation, or something like:
for "Design New World with Advanced Parameters" worlds. A good report will look something like:
But the four seed lines are the critical part. Cheers, and here's hoping we can help! [link] [comments]

Running into random DF in the world Posted: 08 Feb 2020 06:51 AM PST A couple months ago on a work trip to Moncton, New Brunswick I ran into a fellow DF aficionado who was playing on a laptop in the airport, and we had a bit of time to chat about the game. Very cool chance encounter. Have you guys ever had a random DF spotting like this IRL? [link] [comments]
Excess of Legendary Immigrants Posted: 08 Feb 2020 06:33 AM PST I have noticed in the new release (.47.01-02) that huge numbers of new immigrants are Legendary in something... maybe poetry, maybe fishing, maybe something useful. It's just odd to have so many cheesemakers, wood burners and soap carvers flashing blue right off the bat. My world is only 250 years old; what's the general consensus, is this a side effect of the increased learning opportunities provided by guild halls and temples? [link] [comments]

Issues with starting Dwarf Fortress using the LNP Posted: 08 Feb 2020 03:36 AM PST So I've returned to Dwarf fortress after about 2 years of not playing it, and decided to see what is new. I initially forgotten about the LNP and started playing, but quickly remembered I preferred to have the pack and downloaded it. I got it unzipped and ready to go but when I try to hit "Play Dwarf Fortress!" It tells me "FATAL ERROR: Main index file missing/corrupted. The file "Index" must be in the "data" folder." The issue is... the Index file is already in the Data folder... and I can run Dwarf Fortress normally without hitch. So why can't I play it using the LNP? I'm genuinely confused and just want to build some forts. [link] [comments]

Can anyone recommend any DF clone Posted: 08 Feb 2020 10:50 AM PST I know it is probably not a best time since everyone is checking the new update. I just stumbled on my Steam review of one early access game that "has potential" and yeah, no updates for last 8 month. Probably another dead one :/ [link] [comments]

libstdc++.so.6 `CXXABI_1.3.8' not found Posted: 08 Feb 2020 05:07 AM PST Just in case someone is using linux (I'm on fedora30) and hits the same thing I did - an error like libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.8' not found (required by /lib64/libGLU.so.1) Believe this is df trying to use it's own version of libstdc++.so.6 (look under df_linux/libs/). Tried upgrading / downgrading libs to make it happy .. but in the end I renamed the libstdc++.so.6 file under df_linux/libs to be something else so it wasn't found & a lib I've already got installed gets used instead. Hopefully this saves someone an hour or two of fiddling about :P [link] [comments] |
