    Was playing my vampire dwarf who had just got a new steel long sword artifact. Went to go test it out on a titan only to be pleasantly surprised by a bronze boy. Can’t draw for shit but imagine it looked something like this.

    New into adventure mode. Help needed.

    So i have been Playing DF for about an year right now, and got the courage to finaly try out adventure mode a couple times. but i have come up with some questions that might be pretty basic but i could not find responses to it.
    1- My notebook has the "?" sign for "HELP" as an "alt" key, but DF dont seem to recognise it. I found a way to remap the Key, but i dont realy know all the keys and fear end up using something that is already maped for something else.
    Do you guys know some keybord key that is not used in the DF comands for me to change it?

    2- My actual hero is almost dieing of thrist. i have a waterskin but coud not fill it. Is there a way of filling it in rivers and ponds? or i need to find a well and only a well can be used?

    3- With my crossbow i managed to kill a horse, is there a way of butchering him for meat in the wild?
    Or do i need tools or a craftstation to do it?

    127 Year old Pig

    So I had this male pig in my fortress that has a name and surname. When I checked legends viewer I found out that the pig is 127 years old. What is this sorcery? :O

    Edit: He was born before the year 0 so maybe this is a bug of some sorts?

    TIL Gelding can be dangerous?

    Hadn't played in >2 years due to crappy old pc and general lack of time. Recently re-downloaded LNP and made a new fort. Some migrants happened to bring 3 doe rabbits and one buck rabbit within two migrations. I decided I didn't need a bunny-splosion in addition to my dog-splosion, so I set the buck rabbit for gelding. I got a job cancellation notice that my Gelder (who happens to also be a papermaker) was attacked. Having never used gelding before, I was quite confused. Fortunately, he was successful and no extraneous injuries were incurred. But now he's "shocked" after getting attacked, and "satisfied" after gelding a creature.

    A Short Story I wrote based off of DF!

    Hello!

    Now, before you ask, no. This isn't a real published thing; Just something I wrote up after a small event happened in one of my older fortresses. I'd like to share it here; It tells the story of Urist Kilrudsolon, who was stranded from her fortress by a deep river she was unable to cross.

    Finally, I'm currently debating some kind of youtube channel or some other place to put my stories; However, I'm not a real big fan of using my voice, and I lack much drawing skill/programs, so I'm at a lack of ideas how to do that.
