The Outcast King. A story I found in legends mode. Posted: 22 Feb 2022 07:04 PM PST I was reading legends mode and I found this cool story about a king who became a werellama and I had to let you know. As Pickclasps was among the first dwarves in Ramul Mudung. He was born at the foot of a volcano. From below the red light of the lava reflected against the white clouds looked like great pink sacks and so he named his kingdom Othbemfath, The Pink Sacks. Under his watchful eyes The Pink Sacks spread down the mountain like lava, it was an age of plenty for As and his people until the curse came. Rangab is a fickle god. Her festivals bring joy, but she is unpredictable. For reasons unknown she cursed As Pickclasps to turn into a werellama under the light of the full moon. When the people of The Pink Sacks discovered his curse they banished their own king and he was forced to wander Ramul Mudung, being declared an enemy by every civilization he visited. This tragic story is the foundation of The Pink Sacks, the home land of my seven dwarfs. They were born many years after As Pickclasps' death and the werellama is nothing but a legend as far as they are concerned. They are more focused on building goods for trade than telling campfire stories. But with two necromancer towers directly south of their fortress the ghost stories they are keen to ignore just might come looking for them. I love reading legends mode before starting a new fortress, it adds context to your game and it's just fun to do. I didn't even mention that these dwarves worship a coyote god or that As Pickclasps' wife was killed by a dragon. [link] [comments] | ||
