- Behold the lamest artifact I have seen. Zotiros Fiendlie Fiendlie was a legendary small hemp sock. This is a small hemp sock. It is sized for dwarfs. It is encrusted with round cryolite cabochons and encircled with bands of sand. Imagine your life's work being a sock with sand on it and some gems.
- Dwarves meticulously stick teeth into the coffin while the real body rots away in the garbage dump. Looks like a proper dwarf funeral to me.
- Help. All my dwarves just stopped building anything and won't even go down the stairs. All they do is socializ, eat and drink. We were halfway trough building the floor

Posted: 04 Dec 2021 09:48 PM PST Sad news... A big oversight on my part lead to the demise of the fort. Didn't notice that holes had been opened on the surface by my logging operations that lead down into my farm floor. Long story short 180ish undead/monsters etc found their way into my fort and made short work of my dwarves. The Steel of Hope has fallen.[link] [comments]
Having Trouble Running LNP on Manjaro Posted: 05 Dec 2021 01:41 PM PST I downloaded the tar.bz2 file from https://github.com/McArcady/lnp-forge/releases/tag/0.47.05-r3. I can run the LNP launcher, set my terminal, but when I hit play game and try to run DF, nothing happens. It looks like my terminal open and closes in a split second, but that's it. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Dec 2021 10:53 AM PST After installing the newest Linux dwarf pack (r3) using the .Deb package, I started a new fort and decided I wanted to use Soundsense. After installing the sound pack, I tried finding the gamelog.txt file in my dwarf fortress install directory, but have not been able to find it. It looks like the pack was installing in /opt/linux-dwarf-pack/ and when I check in this directory or in /opt/linux-dwarf-pack/df_47_05_linux directory I am not finding the gamelog.txt file. I've also checked in the other directories but it is just not there. I've also tried saving and closing out of the game to see if this generates one but it has not. I have not noticed any other issues besides not being able to use Soundsense, but I really haven't started playing this fort yet. Any advice would be appreciated! [link] [comments] |
