Ask about anything related to Dwarf Fortress - including the game, utilities, bugs, problems you're having, mods, etc. You will get fast and friendly responses in this thread.

Read the sidebar before posting! It has information on a range of game packages for new players, and links to all the best tutorials and quick-start guides. If you have read it and that hasn't helped, mention that!

You should also take five minutes to search the wiki - if tutorials or the quickstart guide can't help, it usually has the information you're after. You can find the previous questions thread here.

If you can answer questions, please sort by new and lend a hand - linking to a helpful resource (eg wiki page) is fine.

    Dwarves won't bury hand

    Posted: 03 Sep 2021 09:08 AM PDT

I have a dwarf who ended up in multiple parts, 3 are left to be exact. My dwarves can't figure out how to bury him properly. His fourth toe from his right foot and his left foot are currently in a coffin with a different dwarf's body. I've assigned him his own tomb, but the dwarves won't move his parts there. More problematically, he has a mangled hand that they refuse to put in a coffin. They pick it up and put it down endlessly on top of the coffin, but won't put it in the coffin. He's now haunting the fortress.

Any ideas on what's gone wrong or if there might be a DFHack fix I can use?

Am I the only one that intentionally gives forts like sewers or secret tunnels as a way to get into my forts?

Even though it makes them more vulnerable I like the role play aspect of invaders or enemies being able to get in my fort besides the main door for role playing reasons. Also I like being able to sneak in that way in adventure mode
