The title of the book that made me a necromancer in my current adventure mode run has also given me a new goal for the character. Wipe out every evil figure and beast capable of mass destruction as a necromancer.

    Adventure mode question

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 01:20 AM PDT

    Hello, How are you?

A few days ago I started playing this fascinating game. I have not yet delved into the game almost anything but I have seen videos and read a lot about the fortress mode and I find it wonderful.

But when I started playing I realized that what most catches my attention is the adventure mode for now, but this way I have not found as much data as the fortress mode.

My question is if this (Adventure) mode is as complete as the fortress, because for now the only thing I have done has been to do missions and kill creatures. I would like to know if this mode offers the infinity of options that the other mode offers, or if it is simply a secondary mode.

By this I mean if it is a game where you can do whatever you want, such as being a fisherman who lives peacefully in a fishing village , or a hunter, or a gatherer, or just a traveler ... or is it a roguelike of killing creatures and getting better weapons and armor.

I ask it out of simple curiosity, because the world seems to me a real wonder, I have never seen anything like this, and for that reason I would like to know if this mode is as immense and free as it seems to be, to dedicate more time, or to dedicate myself completely to the fortress mode, because the games that in the end are only based on killing creatures are not to my liking.

    Thanks a lot.

    All the best.

    Help me reclaim the surface

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 08:36 AM PDT

Third fort so far, first "succesful" one.

Everything was "fine" until the first siege arrived in the third year. Not focusing in military and traps was a terrible decision, now I have arund 50 goblins and 30 beak dogs/trolls outside the fort.

I sent a victim voluntary outside (equiped with full iron armor and a steel sword) to check how tough were they, he entered a martial trance but still only killed 3 beak dogs and a troll.

so now I need your help to reclaim the surface from the goblins.

    I have:

    • 70 civilians
    • 10 untrained soldier, equiped with incomplete iron armor, wooden shields and most of them, silver hammers
    • A caged cyclops and a caged ettin
    • Very little wood
    • 11 cage traps outside

How could I get out of this situation?
