Just conducted an Adventure Mode raid on a dark fortress and managed to free five child prisoners. I recently lost my own mother, so seeing this dwarf's response to seeing her child again after years apart brought me to real tears.

See that blue trail? It's vomit. A pile of vomit. And it's not a one-off thing. It's everywhere and they've been appearing for the last 4 years. Some dwarf is constantly walking around, leaving a constant slimy trail of vomit and I can't find who or why. Welcome to Dwarf Fortress.

    An idea for r/dwarffortress

Are You In This Subreddit Just Appreciating What People Have To Show About Dwarf Fortress, But Have Absalutely No Idea How To Play Still?

I'm just asking this, because I literally haven't touched this game at all, but I joined the subreddit out of appreciation for the complexity and depth of this game, and I want to see if I'm not the only one.

Steam Release wish list: updated sound track and sound effects

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 12:02 PM PDT

There has been a lot of discussion in regards to tile sets and features being added or potentially being added to the steam release, but has there been any word on a DF sound track? I love toady's riff and all, but some new tracks would be nice.
