    Ask about anything related to Dwarf Fortress - including the game, utilities, bugs, problems you're having, mods, etc. You will get fast and friendly responses in this thread.

    Read the sidebar before posting! It has information on a range of game packages for new players, and links to all the best tutorials and quick-start guides. If you have read it and that hasn't helped, mention that!

    You should also take five minutes to search the wiki - if tutorials or the quickstart guide can't help, it usually has the information you're after. You can find the previous questions thread here.

    If you can answer questions, please sort by new and lend a hand - linking to a helpful resource (eg wiki page) is fine.

    Like most of you, I've started and restarted DF at least 3 times. This time I've finally started to understand things and I'm totally hooked. Anyway, I just dug down to the magma sea for the first time and have (what feels like) tons of adamantine now. From what I've read, I should use it for bladed weapons or armor. But which would be most beneficial? My elite military squad are all hammerlords, so I am thinking armor. Which pieces should I prioritize?

    And while I'm at it, what is the most efficient way to get magma up from the sea to power furnaces? Or should I move my industry closer to the sea?

    I was generating a world to play some fortress mode in. Then ~30 towers generated around year 300.

    Twbt Meph GPU Error

    I kept having problems with Meph tileset giving me the error "GPU cant accommodate tile catalog".

    At first, i tried to downsize the tileset from 32 to 24 like on the forum but dfhack didnt know the command (with quotes0 "twbt tileset 24 24"

    Then i thought about turning it off aaand poof! it worked in 2D Truetype on

    ...but it looks awful

    so does anyone have any other solution for this?

    P.S: Im new to this and i dont know how most of the things work or actually mean
