    Ask about anything related to Dwarf Fortress - including the game, utilities, bugs, problems you're having, mods, etc. You will get fast and friendly responses in this thread.

    A vile force of darkness has arrived!

    At first from the announcement i thought that the undead came, but those were goblins

    I would never think that 6 goblins could do so many things. To note, i didnt have any trained dwarfs, so it was a bloodoath. I did came victorious but at what cost? 12 dwarf dead, those who were injured are dying, Families are crying, everyone is stressed including me. Not many are still alive, will be this my first fun? I surely love this game, Will stay for a looooong time.

    Any recommended, up to date, video tutorials? (Fortress Mode)

    I dabbled with Dwarf Fortress about 7 years ago but I am keen to get back in to it. I've got the game all set up how I want it, I get as far as embarking and then I end up utterly flustered as to where I should start and what I need to do first, or what to prioritise.

    Any good walkthrough or play along kind of video tutorials out there to help me on my way?

    Wounded dwarf challenge

    Thought of a painfully meticulous challenge that I know I would never be able to complete. Have a functional fortress of over 100 dorfs, all of whom are missing a significant body part (IE hand or more significant.) I don't think I've ever had a legendary doctor before, but it's worth a shot.
