Amber Blob Titan help wanted

So this showed up at my evil biome fort (for the extra fun), its the second invader for some reason but I have a well trained if unarmored military with quality shields and silver hammers, I also have a bridge trap set to seal the entrance tunnel with attached cistern for drowning. Can I drown it? is it a bad idea to send my dwarfs to fight it? should I seal it in and build a new entrance? I'm still a bit new to combating invaders and sieges.

side note, the only thing wrong with my evil biome is the constant (not exaggerating) rain of abhorrent goo that makes my dwarfs vomit (just a little) and have a weird fascination with sacrifice,

This minotaur was the first invader and got absolutely decimated
