Ask about anything related to Dwarf Fortress - including the game, utilities, bugs, problems you're having, mods, etc. You will get fast and friendly responses in this thread.

Read the sidebar before posting! It has information on a range of game packages for new players, and links to all the best tutorials and quick-start guides. If you have read it and that hasn't helped, mention that!

You should also take five minutes to search the wiki - if tutorials or the quickstart guide can't help, it usually has the information you're after. You can find the previous questions thread here.

If you can answer questions, please sort by new and lend a hand - linking to a helpful resource (eg wiki page) is fine.

A Thank You to the DF Community! This is still my first fort from earlier, but it only made it this far with all of your help.

I don't know why, but I got an infestation of Creepy Crawlers very earlier.

    Armok, what have you done?

First off, let me start by saying that this is using the Dark Ages modpack, this probably can't happen in vanilla. (or maybe it can, idk havent played in a while)

I made a new world and before embarking I usually look around in legends viewer for a while to see what this new land has to offer. Anyway fast forward to when I glanced through the created artifacts to see how many dangerous and scary things that should probably be sent below the magma interesting creations that could cause endless amounts of fun possibly stock my bookshelves. Nothing seems too interesting at first; a few secrets of life and death here, some weird abomonations there... and then The Wickedness of Flax pops up.

To say the least, I am intrigued. I may end up making an adventurer to retrieve the item and deliver it to my fortress.
